The Taken Seat is a Kuwait-based venture builder founded in 2019 by Musab and Abdullah Almutawa, the co-founders of Carriage (acquired by Delivery Hero, 2017). It conceives, founds, funds and operates companies across the Gulf — including Rent Your Machine / Reem Equipment Rental and Ahlan Hamad — and invests in technology companies beyond it. It also founded Carriage, acquired by Delivery Hero SE in 2017, and Cari, which struck a commercial deal with Deliveroo.
