Fiz delivers groceries in minutes from dark stores in Kuwait’s high-density neighbourhoods — about 1,500 items at launch, with a ten-to-fifteen-minute promise. It was founded in summer 2021 by Abdullah Almutawa and Ahmad Salamah and launched in early 2022.
The $2.5 million pre-seed, announced in January 2022, was co-led by The Taken Seat and Relish Venture Partners with Kuwait-based angel investors, and was reported by Wamda and The National.
